Ushers

This ministry of hospitality provides greeters for each Mass who take up the Sunday offertory collections and distribute the weekly bulletin.

There is no magic formula to be an usher at St Joseph's except a desire to want to assist in the delivery of such a beautiful, holy, and prayerful mass experience to those attending.

From assisting those in need of seating, to finding space for our wheelchair bound, to passing a book to an elderly parishioner who wants to read along, to ensuring that the offertory gifts of bread, wine and financial support are brought forward, the role of the usher is that of an ambassador of this beautiful church.

You will again and again see friends and neighbors while greeting those new to the parish as well as those visiting. Ushers are the very first “hello and welcome to St Josephs” that many will see and you truly are assisting in welcoming all to God’s house here in Bronxville.
